AIR FRYER - CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA SKEWERS

This is one of those impromptu and super duper easy recipe that I decided to make on the spur of the moment. 😊

My family has been eating dinner together nowadays ..... At least most of the times πŸ’πŸ»‍♀️
So, I try to make dinner time itty-bitty more special😍

On this particular day, I had marinated some chicken and was going

to fry some as a side to the main dish.  As I was about to fry up some pieces, I was concerned about how much oil this will consume and thus came the idea of using my trusty Air Fryer❤️

Here goes .......

Ingredients

1 lb Chicken thighs - cubed
1 medium onion - cut into chunks
1 medium green bell pepper - cut into chunks
--- I was out of Bell peppers, so couldn't use it πŸ’πŸ»‍♀️
3 tbsp plain Yogurt
Juice of 2 limes

Spice Rub :

2.5 tsp red chilli powder
1.5 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1.5 tsp cumin powder
3 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
3 cloves of garlic - finely minced
Salt and freshly crushed black pepper to taste.

Method :

Mix all the ingredients of the spice rub with the yogurt and the limes.

Marinate the cubed chicken pieces in this spice mixture for 4-6 hours.Marinating tenderizes the chicken allowing the flavours to absorb and make it's more succulent when cooked.

Prepare your skewers with the marinated chicken pieces.

Chicken followed by the Bell pepper followed by the onion and continue this way till all the skewers are done.

Preheat the Air Fryer to 365F.

Arrange the skewers and set the time to 15 minutes in total.
After 7 minutes, rotate the skewers to ensure that the chicken is evenly cooked.

Garnish with chopped cilantro and freshly squeezed lime juice! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

I served the chicken with some Pulao and Parsi style LadyFinger vegetable.

My son wanted to relish the chicken more, so no vegetables for him 😁
