BAKED TROUT IN LEMON GARLIC HERB SAUCE ( WHOLE )

We are a fish loving family! Whether it is raw fish like in Sushi (not in the pic above 😋) or fried fish or fish curry .... We love all of it! So today when we were at the store doing our weekly grocery shopping... We see a fresh lot of fish come in! So my husband and son pick up a whole trout for our dinner!

The trout itself is an extremely delicate and tasty fish.. requiring minimum ingredients or any special cooking technique!


Today, we have cooked this fish in a lemon garlic sauce along with some herbs for added flavours. 

Ingredients

1 whole trout cleaned and gutted
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 lemon
Mixed herbs
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Preheat the oven to 400F.

Wash and clean the fish.



Then rub the insides with garlic, herbs, Olive oil.. I have used Rosemary and thyme. 
Rub the outside of the fish with Olive oil. Layer the lemon slices inside the fish.  Season with salt and pepper. 



I let the fish marinate for 15 mins. Then baked in on the top shelf of the oven for 15 minutes.


I served the trout with a healthy Sprouts Salad with baby Kale
