Baking is simple.... I used to think otherwise !!
I wanted to try a simple baked chicken since quite some time now... so last night, I put my fears of baking to rest.
Baked Honey Mustard Chicken wings... !! And surprise ohh surprise... It turned out fab ! Lip smackingly good.. And the best part is that its really very simple ! Doesn't need much effort and neither constant supervision.
4 pieces full chicken wings
1 tablespoon salt
½ tablespoon pepper
5 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons mustard sauce
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
2 large garlic cloves, minced
Vegetables:
1 medium sized tomoto sliced
1 small sized raddish sliced
1 large potato diced
1 medium carrot sliced
1 cup green peas
1/2 cup sweet corn
Finely chopped Parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Season chicken wings with salt and pepper and set aside.
Combine honey, mustard, oyster sauce, olive oil, and garlic in a bowl and whisk until combined. Pour into a big mixing bowl, add chicken, and marinate a minimum of 30 minutes or up to overnight in the refrigerator.
Preheat oven to 230 degrees Celsius.
Place the marinated mixture in a baking dish along with the cut veggies and a tablespoon of Olive Oil and cover with aluminium foil. (the aluminium foil ensures that all the chicken is evenly cooked and the chicken on the top of the baking dish does not get overdone.)
Bake the chicken wings for 50 mins- basting it every 15 mins
For a crispy coating, remove the aluminium foil after 50 mins and grill the chicken for 10 mins.
I served it with fluffy couscous and homemade Garlic Bread (with extra garlic)
