" LEGO MITHAI " !!

My 5 year old loves this homemade version similar to a Milk Cake :)

Just to brief you, my son is a die-hard LEGO fan. He can eat, sleep, talk LEGO ! so when I came across this absolutely adorable silicon mold, I couldn't stop myself from buying it!

I use it for multiple things like making LEGO shaped ice cubes, LEGO Shaped cutlets, LEGO shaped chocolates and LEGO shaped desserts ! This is 1 such dessert recipe which my son absolutely adores !

He calls it --- " LEGO MITHAI " :)

This dessert is made from the brown milk solids that is left after you make Ghee(Clarified butter) at home. (Click for recipe for CLARIFIED BUTTER (GHEE) )

Ingredients:

250 gms Milk Solids
6 tbsp demerara sugar
2 tbsp regular sugar
4 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp choco chips
1 tbsp coloured sprinkles
pinch of saffron
few drops of Vanilla essence
Few drops of Chocolate essence
6-7 crushed cardamom

Method

Once you make the ghee, separate it from the Milk solids that remain.

Clarified Butter
**TIP** The Milk Solids should be light brown in colour, so make sure you turn off the gas once that colour is reached, else the Milk Solids will have a burnt taste.

To this Milk Solids, add all of the below ingredients and let it simmer till the sugar melts. Make sure to keep stirring to avoid the Milk Solids from getting burnt.

After the sugar is melted, fill the LEGO molds with this mixture and after it cools down.

Keep it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours to allow it to take its shape.

Once the mixture has set, unmold it and store it in an air-tight container in the fridge.

Eat it whenever your sweet tooth beckons... :)

**You can replace the homemade milk solids with Khoya that is easily available in any sweetmeat shop**
